Veteran crime reporter Jayne Goodman (Beverly Randolph) has spent her career exposing darkness, but now the world comes to her through a screen. Paralyzed in a hit-and-run accident five years ago, Jayne is wheelchair-bound yet sharper, fiercer, and more relentless than ever. When a new string of grisly murders begins each victim found with massive cranial trauma inflicted by an industrial drill, Jayne is drawn into a case that echoes the infamous 1979 rampage of deranged artist-turned-serial killer Reno Miller (Eric Roberts).
